Soft Cinnamon Walnut Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting
Ingredients
Dough:
7 tbsp (80 g) sugar
1 tsp (4 g) dry yeast
1 cup (250 ml) warm milk
1 egg
2 tbsp vegetable oil
4 cups (500 g) flour
1 tsp (4 g) salt
Filling:
1/3 cup (80 g) butter
1/2 cup (80 g) sugar
Cinnamon to taste
1/2 cup (100 g) chopped walnuts
Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 1/4 cups (300 g) cream cheese
3 tbsp (4 g) salt
tbsp milk
1/2 cup (100 g) powdered sugar

Rising Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Directions
Make the dough: In a large bowl In a bowl, mix 7 tablespoons sugar with 1 teaspoon dry yeast. Add 1 cup warm milk and let sit until frothy. Mix 1 egg and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Gradually add 4 cups flour and 1 teaspoon salt. Knead until smooth, then let rise for 1 to 2 hours.
Make the filling: Melt 1/3 cup butter and mix with 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.


Shape and bake: Divide dough into 9 pieces, roll out, spread with filling and shape. Let rise for 20 minutes. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 20 minutes.
Make the frosting: Mix 1 1/4 cups cream cheese, 3 tablespoons milk and 1/2 cup powdered sugar until smooth. Frost cooled baked goods.

Serve warm with a cup of tea or coffee.
