Key Voters Critical Of Harris Explain Why They Reject Her

Vice President Kamala Harris, like every Democrat, needs to secure the black vote in order to secure an election victory, and that is where she is having massive issues.

As more and more black voters are heard from it has become increasingly apparent that they are not enamored with her.

During a “Morning Joe” segment on MSNBC on Friday, mixed-race voter Lamarie Austin-Stripling said that she does not “feel some kinship” with the vice president.

“I find a lot of [Harris’] trajectory to not be my brand of woman [or] leader,” she said. “We’ve got three major international crises going on, and somebody applying to be Commander-in-Chief. As a woman, I want to see you do more than appeal to giggling and having a girl moment on the stage.”

During a convention in July former President Donald Trump suggested that the vice president identifies as black when it benefits her.

“Well, I can say no, maybe it’s a little bit different,” he said. “So, I have known her a long time indirectly, not directly very much. She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was black until a number of years ago, when she happened to turn black, and now she wants to be known as black. So, I don’t know, is she Indian or is she black?”

“I respect either one,” he said. “I respect either one, but she obviously doesn’t, because she was Indian all the way, and then all of a sudden, she made a turn and she went and became a black person.”

And former CNN host Don Lemon was stunned when he spoke to some black voters who did not support the vice president.

But when he spoke to MSNBC host and former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki he condescended that he believes many black men support former President Donald Trump because his name was on their stimulus checks.

“I don’t know if it was surprising but it was certainly eye-opening to hear so many people — even people of color and women — saying they are going to support Donald Trump. I am not quite sure that the polls are accurate, as it relates to the tightening of the polls and who will support whom. Right-wing media, when I released my content, they said, ‘Oh, Don Lemon was shocked or surprised at the answers he got,’” the former CNN host said.

“But there were a lot of black men, Jen, who said they were supporting Donald Trump simply because he gave them a stimulus check. He gave them $1,200 back when he was president,” he said like the elitist many people believe he is.

“They did not somehow remember that the current president also gave them a stimulus check — except his name wasn’t on it. So, I had to remind them time after time that the check did not come from Donald Trump, that it came from a Democratic Congress and he actually slowed it up to have his name on it. So, when they got the check, and his name was on it, they automatically thought it came directly from Donald Trump,” the jettisoned CNN host said.

“Which I think is good marketing, which is the same as he does for buildings around the country, especially in New York. He doesn’t actually own them but he puts his name on them and it makes people think he owns them and it makes them think that he is richer and bigger and more benevolent than he is,” he said.

“Listen, I wasn’t surprised by that. I have been doing this long enough that you never know where people are going to fall and how they will vote. That’s their personal prerogative. But I think it’s important for them to understand and to go into the voting booth with some knowledge, that they are informed as an electorate. And for all the reasons, they were telling me, the information was all false. They didn’t understand the correct reasons why they might vote for him,” he said.
