Gabriella Laberge stuns ‘AGT’ judges with violin and angelic voice.

America’s Got Talent, one of the globe’s most beloved talent competitions, recently showcased a recognizable face for Eurovision enthusiasts. Gabriella Laberge, a French-Canadian singer and violinist who participated in France’s Destination Eurovision back in 2019, delivered an audition that left both the audience and judges in awe.

Before her performance on the AGT stage, Gabriella opened up about her aspirations in a pre-show clip. “This is the opportunity of my life,” she expressed, “to pursue my greatest dream, which is to make music for the rest of my days.”

The artist from Quebec took the stage with her violin, starting her audition with a gentle solo piece.

While judges Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Heidi Klum were clearly captivated by her performance, Simon Cowell appeared less impressed. His hand hovered over the red buzzer, indicating he was ready to interrupt her. But Gabriella had a delightful twist in store.

As she shifted from playing to singing, Gabriella began a heartfelt rendition of James Blunt’s “Goodbye My Lover.” Her stunning voice instantly caught Cowell’s attention, causing him to retract his hand from the buzzer.

The performance received a standing ovation from both the judges and the audience, with Cowell himself joining in the applause. The panel unanimously decided to advance her to the next round of the competition.

However, Gabriella’s journey on AGT is just beginning. Her audition was featured in the final round of the season’s auditions, episode eight.

With over 150 acts having received “yes” votes this season, only 36 will progress to the live shows. Fans will have to wait for the series to return after a three-week hiatus to find out if Gabriella will be among the finalists.

Gabriella first graced the television screen in 2019 when she took part in the second season of France’s Destination Eurovision. Her track, “On cherche encore (Never Get Enough),” quickly became a hit among fans.

Unfortunately, even with her strong following, she was cut during the semi-finals. The competition concluded with Bilal Hassani emerging as the winner with his song “Roi.”

Gabriella Laberge’s audition for AGT represents a significant milestone in her career, highlighting her incredible talent for a worldwide audience and sparking renewed enthusiasm among her Eurovision fans.

Regardless of her progression to the live shows, her emotional performance has made a memorable impact on both the viewers and the judges.
