This is on behalf of the Welcher and Spinks family. Life changed dramatically for Mrs. Robin Spinks Welcher on May 29, 2024. She was involved in a tragic car accident. As a result of her injuries, she was hospitalized in EAMC Intensive Care Unit and underwent several surgeries. She remained under the care of EAMC healthcare staff for two months followed by therapy at Regional Health in Columbus, GA. By the “Grace of God” Mrs. Spinks Welcher was released home on August 7, 2024. Mrs. Spinks Welcher’s home care plan entailed continued rehabilitation and several follow-up doctor’s visits. Mrs. Robin Spinks Welcher was on a spiritual, optimistic road to recovery with the help of her husband of 50 years (Mr. Luke Welcher), her children, and a host of family and friends.
Due to an unforeseen “House Fire” on August 12, 2024, “Tragedy Strikes” once again. Mrs. Robin Spinks Welcher and Mr. Luke Welcher (Cool Hand Luke) were home asleep at approximately 9 p.m. when a massive fire engulfed the home in flames. Both husband and wife would later be rescued from the home by Auburn Fire Department. Unfortunately, Mr. Luke Welcher would succumb to his injuries.
The home including all belongings were not salvageable. We’re asking for the community to come together and donate in any way possible to assist the family. The funds will be allocated towards medical expenses and clothing expenses. The clothing size is medium shirt and large bottom. Shoe sizes are 6 and 7 in women.
