Influencer Kicked Out of Gym After Staff Called Her Outfit ‘Embarrassing’ and ‘Too Revealing’

The Brazilian influencer was asked to leave the gym

A fitness influencer says she was kicked out of a gym after a staff member claimed her outfit was ’embarrassing’ and ‘too revealing’.

Jessica Freitas shared that she was approached by a gym employee just a few minutes into her usual workout session.

The 33-year-old explained that the employee labeled her attire as ’embarrassing’ and added that she was not given an opportunity to explain herself or discuss the situation.

Jessica believes she was unfairly singled out, mentioning that there were ‘other women in the gym who were dressed the same as me but weren’t subjected to the same restrictions.’

“It’s like they were waiting for me to do something that goes against the rules,” the Brazilian influencer noted.

She described her outfit as tight pink shorts and a black sports top, emphasizing that she was not filming or recording anything in the gym located in her hometown of São Paulo.

Jessica told What’s The Jam: “I wasn’t naked or anything like that.”

“I only went to train as I feel most comfortable.”

“There were other girls there training in shorts and bra tops like me and they weren’t told to leave.”

The influencer said that the gym staff seemed to be ‘on the lookout for any little thing’, which might explain why they approached her and asked her to leave the fitness center.

This kind of behavior made Jessica feel ‘watched and under pressure’ as she tried to complete her usual workout routine.

She even described the employees as ‘people from the last century’ and ‘malicious, false moralists’.

Jessica compared the incident to a woman being asked to leave a beach for wearing a bikini.

She added: “This incident has damaged my image.”

“It’s not like I was looking to show off or provoke anyone.”

Amid the ongoing situation, Jessica shared a bold post on Instagram where she confidently displayed her figure in the ‘controversial’ outfit, adding a message to go with it.

Speaking to her followers on October 27, Jessica said: “Complain all you want, it doesn’t pay my bills.”

Since that post, things have taken a more positive turn, as Jessica mentioned receiving a call from the gym on October 28.

It seems that the issue has been resolved, with both sides coming to an ‘amicable agreement’.

Jessica said she would be ‘happy to return’ to the gym in the future.
