SALEM, AL (WRBL) – A motorcycle crash in the early morning hours on Tuesday killed 28-year-old Tyler Smith of Salem. According to the Lee County Coroner’s Office, Smith was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 5:00 a.m. CT following a collision between his motorcycle and a deer on Lee Road 254.
The crash occurred during the pre-dawn hours, and first responders were dispatched to the site after receiving reports. Despite their efforts, Smith succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) State Troopers Division are investigating. Our thoughts are with Tyler’s friends and family.
