WhaaaaaT? Diddy has to pay a Michigan inmate $100 million for sexual assault after dodging lawsuit

Diddy is experiencing a series of setbacks, which can be a consequence of his questionable behavior. The controversial rapper‘s attraction to men has now resulted in a $100 million loss due to a sexual assault case he managed to avoid, as a judge has issued a default judgment requiring him to compensate the victim who accused him of assault.

Diddy’s 1997 assault against Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith

The incident reportedly took place in Detroit in 1997, as recounted by the victim, Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith. In his lawsuit, Derrick, who is currently incarcerated at Earnest C. Brooks Correctional Facility in Muskegon Heights, claims that Diddy drugged and sexually assaulted him at a party. He stated that while they were drinking and smoking marijuana, they ended up naked with some women present.

Derrick alleges that while he was performing oral sex on a woman, he felt Diddy’s hand on his left buttock. Diddy then allegedly offered him a spiked drink, causing him to pass out. When Derrick regained consciousness hours later, he claims to have seen Diddy having sex with a woman and heard Diddy say, “I did this to you too,“ according to TMZ.

Diddy sued for $100 million for sexual assault against man

Derrick filed a $100 million lawsuit against Diddy, whose real name is Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, for the alleged sexual assault, but Diddy did not respond to the lawsuit. During a default judgment hearing scheduled for September 9, 2024Judge Anna Marie Anzalone of the Lenawee County Circuit Court granted Derrick’s motion for default judgment, ordering Diddy to pay him $100 million.

According to TMZ, the judge mandated that Diddy begin making monthly payments of $10 million to Derrick starting on October 1.

Sexual assault victim said Diddy offered him $2.3 million to make lawsuit go away

In a virtual hearing in August with Judge AnzaloneDerrick claimed that Diddy visited him in jail and offered him $2.3 million to drop the lawsuit, which Derrick declined. The judge‘s ruling from the August hearing was intended to prevent Diddy from selling any assets that could be used to pay Derrick for potential damages.
